Welcome to IALP
The Indian Association of Laboratory Physicians (IALP) was established in 1990 as a professional, literary, non-commercial, organization that is committed to promoting the latest advances involving clinical research and scientific investigations, concerning various aspects of laboratory sciences. Thanks to the tremendous advancements in medical technology and its implications in clinical practice, research in the specialties of Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, and Radiology have come to the forefront of patient management. World over, there has been an increase in patients on life support systems, immunocompromised patients, and preterm and geriatric patients, adding a new dimension to diagnostic Medicine. Today, we need not only highly accurate, user-friendly, and rapid techniques for diagnosis but also state of art research activities in diagnostics to supplement clinical care.
The IALP aims at bringing together, people working in various investigational branches to exchange their views and share their ideas about how to disseminate knowledge about such emerging advances and research investigations. Via our journal, the “Journal of Laboratory Physicians”, we aim to expand our forum by incorporating new members into this society. We also aim to increase the activities of this association by arranging regular meetings and inviting suggestions on how to improve education and training and implement quality control. The society shall always promote research activities by way of presentation and publication of research works on a regular basis.
